Mechanism of Work of a Spray Gun

If we set aside the technology of atomization, pressure, and the paint used, the mechanism of action of the guns is pretty similar, with some exceptions to it. 

A gun tip and a trigger are found in every gun, and when the trigger is pressed, the paint is propelled through the nozzle to the tip and is aimed at the desired surface. 

The flow of paint and the pattern of paint that we get on the aimed surface depends on two major factors; the nozzle you are using in your spray gun and the consistency or viscosity of the paint you are using.

However, sometimes your nozzles don't actually decide the finish of your spray gun, and that's because it's not clean or clogged. Only a clean nozzle can do the work with efficiency; otherwise, you'll experience uneven and uneven textured layers of paint and untidy finishes.

Airhead

Airhead is the most crucial part of a spray gun, and it plays an important role in deciding the paint finish and the amount of paint used as it is the last or first part of your (depends on where you start). It is a part where the paint is mixed with the air, which is totally different for different guns. In some guns, the mixing of the air and paint occurs externally, while in others, it occurs internally.

Flow Regulator

Flow regulator, as the name shows, regulates the flow of the paint that comes out of the nozzle of the spray gun. The flow regulator is found in the trigger of the spray gun, which is the part of the handle of the gun. 

The flow regulator should be handled very carefully, and only the expert people should consider changing the flow regulator. Sometimes, when the flow regulator is closed tightly, additional pressure is created in the trigger, and dripping occurs as a result.

If you are not experienced enough, it is better to change the flow of the paint from the spray gun and not the flow regulator. Flow regulator should be handled by experienced people only in order to keep the spray gun in good shape.

Nozzle

The nozzle is an important part of the spray gun and is the part where the paint is propelled from the gun. Almost all the spray guns available in the market come with a handful of nozzles to customize the spray gun according to your project. There are different types of nozzles manufactured for the spray guns, and from a total of fifteen types, only three are widely used in industrial settings.
